What will you wear?
Most of the time, clients tell me what to wear from my extensive wardrobe. However, for high-end events, the clients may choose to dress me themselves because they may want to promote a specific designer or achieve a particular look.
What time do you arrive?
I arrive an hour before the event for sound checking whether it be acoustic or electric.
What equipment do you need us (the client) to provide?
I usually bring my fold-back speakers to events, and they can be connected to a sound desk that has reverb effects if I am using an electric guitar. I also have my own wireless pack for the guitar. In case there is no sound system available, I have my own speaker to play tracks and guitar through, or a smaller speaker for acoustic performances.
If its a wet weather, am I entitled to a refund?
In case of rain during the Melbourne Cup TV broadcast, we only mimed on stunt violins as playing with real electric instruments in the rain is not an option.
I usually don’t provide refunds for cancellations as there are various reasons that could cause an event to be called off, such as bad weather, legal issues, copyright problems, or illness, which are beyond our control.
Can we request custom songs? Arrangement Fees, etc..
I’m versatile in playing various music genres and can easily learn new songs by listening to them, committing them to memory quickly. However, I’m not able to play rap music as it doesn’t work with my skill set.
We require sufficient lighting to be able to read our music.
Are instruments okay if it’s spitting/light rain?
No. Using cheaper violins as a last resort is also not ideal as the bow won’t produce sound if it gets wet. Our actual instruments are expensive and can’t be exposed to even light rain.
Can my wedding DJ MC on the night?
- Some of our wedding DJs can also MC! Not all of them are comfortable, however, so please make it clear that this is a requirement on your inquiry as it will impact which performers we suggest.
- If MCing is very important to you, we highly recommend employing the services of a professional stand-alone MC whose sole job it is to MC on the night. Separating the roles on the night does ensure a more professional delivery of service. But if you are expecting a professional level of MC delivery with any additional flare/comedy/jokes/personality thrown in – we highly recommend requesting a quote for a stand-alone Wedding MC with us.
- DJing and MCing at a wedding is quite a bit of responsibility, and the DJ-MC script is standardized to ensure a consistent MC delivery at every wedding.
- Rest assured that our performers come with a wireless microphone ready to go so that your MC can be heard throughout the night if you organize your own MC.

Do we need a permit if in public?
Union regulation is 10 minutes break per 1 hour booking. We take breaks based around speeches and client preference. However, we canno play longer than 50 minutes maximum.
Overtime is charged strictly in 10 minute increments; We strongly encourage clients to book an extra 15 minutes in their initial booking, as overtime is charged as a much higher rate.
