Can my singer play music for the ceremony?
Absolutely they can! We recommend having music playing 30 minutes prior to your ceremony start time for the keen beans who arrive early! They will play your key songs as you walk down the aisle, sign the certificate and walk back up the aisle after you are signed, sealed and delivered!
If you are looking for some live entertainment during your ceremony/canape time – they can look after this as well!
Can my singer play music for the reception?
Of course! If you are wanting a more chilled reception vibe, or even some smooth acoustic strumming over dinner, then you can book your wedding singer throughout part or all of your wedding reception.
If you are wanting some dancing later on, then we would recommend booking one of our Acoustic DJ Soloists, our Wedding DJs or Live Bands.
If dancing isn’t really your vibe, that’s completely fine! An acoustic musician or duo would be the perfect choice to provide some background tunes. You can even add a Sax to spice things up a little!
How do I choose the songs I want played?
Upon confirming your booking with us, we will send you a ‘Wedding Request & Expectations Form’ along with a link to your chosen artist’s set-list. Here you will have room to enter your:
– Overall style/vibe you are going for
– Formality songs (first dance, entrance, Father/Daughter dance etc…)
– Top 10 must-play requests
– Additional song requests
– Do-Not-Plays (for any tragic over-done wedding songs that you definitely DO NOT want to be played on your big day)
This way you’ll have full customisation over the style of music you want to hear at your wedding. We promote our artists as being adaptable to different crowds and situations rather than “the best at mixing house music” for example. Weddings have diverse ranges of crowds, and keeping everyone happy is a professional skill that our performers are exceptional at.
Please note that any songs that you would like your performer to sing live will need to be chosen from their set list, or learnt for an additional fee. The alternative is that the artist can play your chosen song as an mp3 file, rather than singing it live.
What will my wedding singer wear on the night?
Our impeccably polished performers will always come dressed to impress! As a standard outfit, the attire will be ‘formal cocktail’. Think suits, ties, jackets, and cocktail dresses! If you’re having a more chill wedding – you’re welcome to request more of a smart casual chinos/shirt vibe. Or ‘leave the tie’ at home! On hot summer wedding days 30 degrees and above, our artists may wear chino shorts or a more breathable outfit.
Can the singer learn a song that is not on their set list?
Most of the time our artists don’t have any problems learning new material, but it does depend sometimes on the availability and difficulty/style of the song.
The possible outcomes are:
If they are able to learn the song for you, it will incur an additional fee per song per person, which will be added to your invoice upon confirmation.
If they are unable to learn the song, you can choose an alternative song on their set-list or they can play the original MP3 file for you from their laptop or another device. If this the case please provide the YouTube link of the song you are expecting.
Do I get to choose who my Wedding Singer will be?
Absolutely! Our whole business model is based upon our couples having choices on their big day. You are welcome to choose from our wide range of amazing professional Wedding Signers.
Many of our talented individuals have additional skills, and you are able to view, watch, read and listen to their incredible work before making your final decision.
Can I have a meeting with our chosen performer?
Due to time constraints (espeically suring a busy wedding season) it is rare that meetings happen in person, however you will speak with your chosen performer either on the phone or via a vido call the week of your wedding. We honestly believe that there isn’t anything that can’t be discussed over the phone early in the week of your wedding. This saves everyone time, which we know is super valuable when you are planning a wedding.
Do we need to feed my acoustic artist?
Firstly thanks for thinking of our stomachs! While we do encourage our entertainers to pack a snack, for anyone performing for longer than 2.5 hours, a provided crew meal would be greatly appreciated. Our performers have to be on their feet for a long time and some sustenance will help them provide an even more energetic performance for you.
